Description
A mixed media drawing of a flamenco dancer, looking directly down at her from above. I drew this off the top of my head, imagining what it would the dress, the dancing movements would look like from that angle. I used watercolour, and I also used oil-pastel crayon. I scratched back some of the red oil-pastel and added black to try and capture the beautiful swirling motion of the dress.
Tools used: Watercolour, Oil-pastel crayons, 2B pencil (for original sketching then scratching off oil-pastel).

just... my, i'm out of words. Seriously. This is beyond gorgeous. Just beautiful, and i can feel the movement with some music.
I was looking around the internet and also on here is there was any good reference of some kind of frilled dancing dresses, or flamenco dancer is exactly what i need like reference, i fell upon you're precious piece and my goodness, you've just made me want to draw at the top of the line, and for a good while too (see, i've had an artist block for almost a year or so).
But yes, i am out of words to compliment this piece.
Just... wow. I really love how you've shown the her body, the shoulders are perfect along with the hair. Bravo!!
p.s.: i kinda like how it looks like two different things at once. At first, i thought it was a poppy. Looked longer and closely, it was just what i wanted, a huge frilled like flamenco dancer.
